About Frances

Frances Liu is the Founder and Creative Director of Charmed Events Group, LLC and is often the main author of blog posts here at Absolutely Charmed.  After graduating with a Fashion Degree in FIDM, working for Vivienne Tam in NY and being one of the first Fashion Editors of FashionLA Magaine, Frances moved into the realm of weddings and events armed with her love of fashion, art and making all things beatiful.  After being an Event Director of a non-profit organization for 5 years, she finally decided to branch out and create her own boutique Events Planning, Design and Management Company with the goal of bringing style and charm to every Wedding and Event.

I always find fascinating how events seem to have a life of their own in each serving its unique purpose; bringing together people of different backgrounds and showcasing its personality with style and decor.  I am enamored with applying details and inspirations from fashion and art into creating atmospheres and moods for any Wedding and Event; it’s actually my passion.   I often find my personal inspirations of managing and designing an event through fashion, current lifestyle trends and travel.
