On our way to Lake Tahoe for some good mountain biking fun, we saw a blimp that said “Machado Pies” and decided that we had to stop and check it out and possibly buy some pies.  I am so glad that we were spontaneous with that because we were pleasantly surprised to find a local gem in the Machado Orchards Family Farm and Produce Store.  I was inspired the minute I stepped through the doors as we were greeted with bursts of colors from the vegetables and fruits grown organically by the Machado family.  Not only that, the aroma of fresh fruit pies greeted us at the door while our eyes were filled with shelves of preserved jams and jellies.  Needless to say, I knew instantly that I was inspired to blog about the possibilities of an orchard wedding!

The idea of an Orchard Wedding is so appealing because of the initial colors that the fruits and natural colors of an orchard can bring.  Not only that, there is always something charming about bringing everyone’s favorite fruits into the picture because it feels just like home, especially if the favors are preserved jars of jelly and if the alternative to a wedding cake is pie!

Orchard Weddings can really bring out the fun and personality of a couple.  I love the idea of escort card apples mixed with bright colors and parasols.  All the elements together are absolutely charming!  I am officially dreaming of all things orchard!
