And we’re back!
I sincerely apologize for the hiatus in content. Last week, we were busy producing a conference that I have been planning for since the beginning of 2009. We actually did a combination of two conferences in 1, the first being a conference of 300 people followed by a conference of 2000 attendees.
It is always a joy to plan large conferences not only because it is challenging, but the adrenaline of seeing hard work and planning become a reality is why I love my job! From my experience of planning corporate conferences, I have found 3 things to be extremely important in the success of a large event with many attendees. The first is always providing VIP Service and excellency to those who attend, it’s amazing what a difference it is to have staff with positive “can do” attitudes that anticipate the needs of all the attendees. Secondly, it’s important that attendees have a little fun during multiple days of conferences. During the middle of the week, we chartered buses to take our attendees to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk which gave everyone a chance to relax and let loose. I belive that letting conference attendees have fun is truly rejuvenating for them! Last but not least, food is love. Good food at conferences catered by household names that almost everyone knows (such as Boston Market and Pasta Pomodoro) are a true plus when attendees are away from home. It’s a hint of familiarity mixed with comfort food that enhances an attendee’s experience.
Thanks for being patient with the delay in posts, but we are now back and as ready to blog as ever! Stay tuned…
