Current Decor Trends to Covet and Love
One of the things that I love most about the wedding and event industry is that creativity is endless and new ideas and trends are constantly emerging. Today is not only Friday, it’s the start of a long weekend so I thought I would share some eye candy of the best and most current decor trends that fashionable brides are incorporating into their weddings.
We all loved the paper lanterns and paper floral pomanders that were in season last year..almost everyone had them in their weddings. Currently, this trend is still in season but has been revamped with more unique lanterns and pomander flowers and the placement of the lanterns/pomander flowers are often designed to fit in one central cluster rather than spread out throughout the room. I love this.
One of the BIGGEST Floral Trends of the year are to hang floral arrangements in mason jars, bubble vases and teardrop vases from trees, gazebos, etc. for ceremonies and receptions. I love this trend because there’s something so romantic about beautiful blooms resting in floating glassware.
A similar emerging trend is to hang single flowers in tubes so that they seem to float over tabletops and space.
On the same note, centerpiece arrangements are also shifting from large and tall arrangements to a collection of mini bouquets and florals set in bubble vases. They are just so darn cute!
Ribbon accents have also been huge this year! Whether you drape ribbon for a photo, ceremony, dessert bar backdrop or simply string ribbon on the last row of chairs for the ceremony, it’s a delightful and vibrant touch, full of color and plain, old fun!
Happy Friday, have a wonderful Labor Day Holiday!
