It’s a Colorsplash Wedding!
My friend Kelly Hsiao, of Bay Area Pin-Ups and Kelly Hsiao Photography, got married last month at the Saratoga Country Club. We actually met while working on another wedding for our client Stephen and Jennifer and have now become friends in the industry. I went over to her studio one afternoon to pick up some pictures, she had just gotten married and was ecstatic to show me her wedding photos. I was blown away by the colorsplash of flowers and parasols that I immediately told her that once all her photos were finished, I just had to post and blog about them! Luckily for all of us, she sent us her lovely pictures and all the colors, flowers and details are just smashingly spectacular. I hope you enjoy all the array of colors that she had in her wedding, this just goes to prove that you can never go wrong with color!
NYC designer Nini Hu of Route is a personal friend of Kelly’s and custom made this wedding dress for Kelly! She hand knit the top of the dress and used lightweight silk for the bottom and train.

Kelly’s dear friends found these bright and colorful parasols in a local shop around town, they were perfect for the beautiful, sunny day.

You can never have enough colors and these pictures prove it! We love the playful, multi-colored rose petals for the aisle and the cones of fresh, vibrant flowers really added so much to the ceremony site.

Did I not promise you tons of color? I love this shot of the bride and groom amidst a sea of colorful parasols.

From the Bride: “During the ceremony, we had a Time Capsule where we put a bottle of wine & love letters, to be opened at our 5th Anniversary. That’s the wooden box on the grass. Our guests really liked that part of the ceremony!”

Just married and descending the long and windy staircase of Saratoga Country Club.

For the sign-in table, polaroid cameras were placed next to the sign in book and guests were encouraged to snap a photo of themselves to place inside the sign-in book along with their warm wishes and greetings to the newlyweds. Again, amazing color from the flowers!

This lime green is cake is gorgeous isn’t? It matched perfectly with all the hints of color from the luscious flowers!

The bride and groom love to travel, the bride is from New York and the groom is from Switzerland. It was only fitting for them to name their tables after their favorite travel destinations.

For favors, they gave a marriage of American and Swiss Chocolate. Sees Candy lollipops were paired with Swiss Chocolate that the groom’s mother brought back from Switzerland. Kelly created the fun little “Par Avion” Mailing labels on the chocolates that doubled as place cards for their guests.

Thank you so much for sharing these photos with us Kelly, the wedding was vibrantly gorgeous!
