Gold, Blush Pink and Nude Wedding Inspiration

I couldn’t be more excited for C+D’s July wedding at the Fairmont in San Francisco!  For their wedding we have envisioned lots and lots of sparkle, blush pink, gold, poms and balloons.  What a perfect recipe for a gorgeous, luxe wedding!  I love it and can’t wait for their wedding…Happy Friday!

We had so much fun following #bridalfashionweek in New York last week via our favorite instagrammers!  It really felt like we were getting front row seats at the shows as we “oohed” and “ahhed” with every post and started to make mental checklists of some of the bridal fashion trends that are in store!  Here are some of our favorite trends spotted via our pals @inspiredbythisblog, @mercinewyork, @martha_weddings, and @theknot.  If you are looking for inspirations, be sure to follow them!

DECO:  This has been a huge trend in wedding decor and interior design, especially with Downton Abbey and Gatsby stirring our hearts, so it’s no wonder that traces of Deco showed up in bridal fashion and we love it!

MAKE IT SPARKLE:  Sequins, glitter and some good ol’ sparkle has also been a huge motif for wedding design and interior design.  This also showed up on the runways and I have to say, this is probably one of my favorite bridal fashion motifs….I think we can think Kate Spade for bringing out the sparkle in all of us!  These gowns, literally, make me want to do some serious twirling all night long.

PEPLUM:  This trend showed up in contemporary fashion last year and is still going strong, we can thank Christian Dior for making this one of the hottest looks in 1947 that is still loved today.

COLOR BLOCK:  This has also been a huge trend in fashion…leave it to Vera Wang to be the ultimate leader in Bridal Fashion to be so bold as to create a line of color blocked black and white gowns.  This entire collection stole my heart.

LACE BODICES:  Lace is and will always be one of everyone’s favorite embellishments on a bridal gown.  It seems that designers are currently obsessing with accenting the bodice with lace and I think it’s just so European chic.

Twilight Inspired Engagement Shoot

Happy Friday lovelies!  We’re blogging from the East Coast today and it’s such a beautiful day in New York City…so beautiful in fact, that it’s the perfect day to share with you M+W’s engagement shoot that screams all the beauty and magic that is Twilight.  M+W are our June couple and their wedding design couldn’t be any more of a dream to design with a soothing color palette and a whole lot of sparkle!  For their engagement session, they ventured out to the lush greens of Cavallo Point  and the rest is, well, pure magic.  One of our bestie pals, Gladys Jem, captured them so beautifully and the Glamourist glammed our bride to be up.  Have a lovely weekend, make it fabulous!

Wedding Bell Jars

One of the things that I love about weddings are the different trends that pop up in every aspect of wedding details.  Wedding Bell Jars. or as I like to call them “Beauty and the Beast Arrangements”, are so very pretty for weddings….they bring an organic sense of sweetness and romance to any tablescape and are particularly fitting if you are a Bride that loves soft detailing and some good ol’ fashioned story book romance.  The best thing about these bell jars are that they are versatile..you can display anything in them so get creative in displaying the things that are most important to you and your love on your special day.
