Personalized Wedding Hangers ROCK!

On your wedding day, it’s all about personal touches.  If you invest in having a photographer (which 100% of brides do), it’s inevitable that there will always be that glorious shot of your wedding dress hanging followed by the magical moment of putting the dress on.  Lila Frances, the fabulous designed behind the original personalized wire hanger, makes the most adorable wedding hangers that you can personalize with your name, a heart, “Bride + Groom”…almost anything that is related to what you want to be personalized for your dress hanger.  I think these hangers are darling and are the perfect accessory for any wedding dress for that magical wedding dress shot, don’t you think?

David + Natalie are getting married!

We have the privilege of being David and Natalie’s wedding planner for their June 2010 wedding.  They are such a gorgeous couple with such life and affection for one another.  They just finished a beautiful engagement session with Ellie Grover Photogrophy and I love that the background that they chose was of a large family tree in an endless golden field.  Enjoy these photos from Ellie and get ready for some gorgeous photos in June of their wedding.  Think hues of fuchsia, peony blooms, candy bars and photo booths…what fun!

Can’t wait for their wedding in June!

San Francisco Cupcake Tour debriefed!

Are you a cupcake fanatic?  So are we!  That’s why a friend and I went to San Francisco on a mission to taste the best cupcakes that the city had to offer.  If you’re thinking of having cupcakes for your wedding and aren’t sure which bakery to choose, hopefully our pictures and reviews will help you make your decision!  If you just love cupcakes, then get ready to feast your eyes on some major yumminess!

Our first stop was Noe Valley Bakery in the Noe Valley District.  What we loved about Noe Valley Bakery was that their cupcakes were all perfectly formed and the flavors were delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet…delicious!

This is the Noe Valley storefront, the window was decorated so cute with Easter Inspirations!

How adorable are these lemon drop cupcakes with the little sugar bees on them!

Noe Valley Red Velvet Cupcake

This is Noe Valley’s Chocolate “Mostess” Cupcake, inspired by the Hostess Cakes!

The “Mostess” Cupcake even had the creme filling just like the ding dongs!

Our next stop was at the infamous That Takes the Cake Bakery and let me tell you, the trip was such a treat!  They had the most flavors that I’ve ever seen displayed in their cake case and we were informed by the owner that the cupcake flavors change twice a week.  Cupcake flavor submissions are welcome so put those cupcake dreams on paper!  Cupcakes by That Takes the Cake were absolutely heavenly as the cakes were so moist and the flavors ever so unique.

The lovely paired baby blue and brown storefront, so inviting!

Have you ever seen so many perfect rows of cupcake flavors?!

These are the mini cupcakes, yum…

Chocolate Mint Andes Cupcakes, I told you they were creative!

Unwrapping a mini red velvet cupcake. how sweet it is!

This was my prized Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcake, the best PB Cupcake i’ve ever had…ever!

Our next stop was American Cupcake, an absolute modern-retro cupcake dream!  Starting the business as a cupcake caterer, the owner received such success and high demands that she decided to open a storefront shop.  The shop is decorated in retro motifs, including a pristine white counter high-top and bar stools, a photo booth and the most amazing light fixtures ever!  They also feature candy jars behind all their Kitchen-Aid mixers and guests are welcome to watch them decorate the cupcakes if you get a seat on the bar.  This store just opened a week ago so stop by and show them some love!

Cups and Cakes Bakery, situated in the Financial District, was our final stop.  Walking in, you know that this bakery was hip with its hot pink, electric blue and black paint colors and its open kitchen.  Their cupcakes are special as they are literally baked in cups and the flavors were eccentric and unique as well.

Don’t you just love their slogan?

Their open kitchen was so interesting to see as you can see them literally at work.  When we visited, they were busy icing some cookies n’ creme cupcakes.

Our delicious mini red velvet and peanut butter and jelly cupcakes sitting pretty.

We decided to make one last stop at Icing on the Cake in Los Gatos and we were so glad we did!  This shop is bursting with personality, making it feel like a mom n’ pop shop.  Delectable desserts were on display everywhere and the shop was decorated with all baking supplies and entertaining tools.  The endless crowd of customers is a sure sign that this cake shop is doing something right!

Icing shots, how delightful!

Other delicious desserts on display…

We had such a wonderful time visiting with all these bakeries and everyone from each bakery was so personable and friendly.  The trip was such a treat…literally!  Like what you see?  Go visit these bakeries and get one of these sweet treats today!
