Meet our charming team!

A couple of weeks ago, we had a team photoshoot in preparation for the re-launch of our website.  We were so lucky to have my good friend Vivian Sachs take the photos of our team having fun and sipping on tea and tea sandwiches at Lisa’s Tea Treasures in Santana Row.  Without further ado, please meet the charming girls and our token dashing gent that makes everything that we do here at Charmed Events Group possible.

(From Left to Right:  Stacy – Assistant Event Planner, Frances – Founder and Lead Planner/Designer, Ivy – Office Manager and In House Graphic Designer, Julie- Assistant Events Producer)

Here’s our dashing gent Dustin…he does all of our custom carpentry work and other manly things that we can’t do…

Now that you know the faces behind the team, let’s get to planning and designing!

A San Jose Rotunda Wedding

Words cannot express how excited I am to share this next wedding with you.  I’ve been planning and designing with Milton and Annikke for almost two years for their modern San Jose Rotunda Wedding inspired with touches of a Midsummer’s Night Wedding and their wedding turned out spectacularly magical! We had a color palette of lavendar, navy blue, blush pink and metallic silvers and gold to create the dreamy mood of the design and it was important for us to infuse stars for the bride and groom so take a look below to see the stunning result.  Special thanks to my very special pal, Gladys Jem, for the BEAUTIFUL photography.  Milton and Annikke, thank you for choosing us to plan and design your wedding.  I loved every minute with working with you both for almost two years and it makes me so happy to see the both of you in bliss.  Enjoy everyone!

Warning, you are about to enter an extremely drool-worthy world of bridal fashion…Annikke has great taste from the shoes to her custom made dress from the designer, Lazaro, himself!

Loved the custom invitation suite and custom graphics that we designed for the happy couple with the help of Post-Etiquette!

I’m kind of totally in love with this shot below, it’s so dreamy and ethereal!

For their escort cards, we wanted to do something different while using stars, so we created a hanging star installation for guests to “spot their star”.  All the guests really had fun with this one!

We did a twist on the traditional guest book by creating a metallic silver board and asked guests to “make a wish” for the new couple by writing their names on starts that we created from the couple’s color palette.  The guests then put it on the board to create a ombre display of stars that would become a custom art piece for their new home.  I loved this and so did the bride and groom!

And check out our jaw dropping dessert bar filled with cupcakes and candies all in our color palette!  This was beautiful and definitely a center stage wow effect that everyone enjoyed.

The rotunda really is such a pretty backdrop and venue for our designs and the other vendors involved.  LOVE!

Congratulations again Milton and Annikke, your wedding is as beautiful as the both of you and I cherish the time that we spent together dreaming all of this goodness up!  If you want to see more of the couple, see their engagement session that we also styled and designed for them.

A Fabulously, Pink Rock n’ Roll Backyard Wedding

Meet Alex, he’s a rock and roll fanatic.  Meet Tiffany, she is our quintessential blingin’ princess who dreamt of an all pink wedding with lots of crystals and everything that you can possibly think of when the word “girly” is mentioned.  Does a wedding have to be one or the other?  Of course not and that’s the beauty of marrying two design concepts, personalities and people together…you get the best of both worlds by having a slammin’ rock n’ roll wedding decked out in edgy fuchsia and fleur de lys!  I absolutely loved designing and planning Alex and Tiffany’s wedding because they are not only a stylish couple (a planner and designer’s dream!), they weren’t afraid to be edgy and trusted us to create something that was rock and roll, beautifully girly and 100% them.

We achieved the perfect balance of what they both wanted by characterizing every part of their wedding to Alex’s favorite rock bands and corresponded every stationary item title to a specific rock song.  We offset the rock and roll by adding lots of edgy hues of pink, adding the graphic motif of fleur de lys to all printed items and bejeweled everything we could from the flowers to the cake, to the menus, programs…and of course the bride herself had bling from head to toe.  They both loved skeleton keys, which we used freely in the design, as the keys symbolize both rock and roll as well as a girly romance element.  The photos speak for themselves and my good girlfriend and pal, Vivian Sachs, did a PHENOMENAL job capturing all the details of Alex and Tiffany’s day.  Alex and Tiffany, you were both a dream to work with.  You were always super stylin’, always 100% stoked about the wedding and most importantly, madly in love for the world to see.
