A Valentine’s Day Elopement

A Winter Thomas Fogarty Wedding

Happy Monday everyone!  As we are getting close to Valentine’s Day, thought it would be great to share a wedding that we did last Winter at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA.  I loved working with Mamie and Derek on the wedding mainly because I loved who they were as a couple.  They have a long distance relationship as Mamie was finishing up school so we did a lot of planning with our super groom Derek and what I loved so much about them was every time they mentioned each other’s name, their eyes would spark up.  Their wedding was a labor of love by family members…Mamie’s family created all the floral arrangements and Derek’s mom made homemade toffee for all their guests as a favor.  Enjoy these lovely photos courtesy of James and Jennifer from Elle Jae Photography.  Check back tomorrow for a VERY special Valentine’s treat, I can’t wait to share tomorrow’s post with all of you!

Featured in Today’s Bride Magazine!

Words cannot express how excited and thrilled I am to have been able to work with such a remarkable group of vendors in showing our work to be published by Today’s Bride Magazine SF!  Nancy Liu Chin, an amazing florist and arguably one of the best in the country, was the master mind behind the Sweet and Sassy shoot for the magazine and she invited us to help her plan the details and execute the shoot.  Our theme for the shoot was “gossip girl in Paris” so we wanted all the details to be very sassy and sweet at the same time.  We used a lot of pinks, oranges and greens to bring out the energy of sweet and sassy and one of the key design motifs that tied the entire shoot together was the use of ombre, which is a cascading shadow of colors.  We loved every minute of working with all the amazing vendors who put their talents into making this shoot happen:  Make-Up and Model Scouting: Sarah of Mimi and Taylor, Venue:  Terra Gallery SF, Photographer: Kevin Chin, Cinematographer:  Luke Goodman, Cake:  Butterfly Cakes, Donut Tower:  Sweet Luna Desserts, Bride’s Dress:  Sarah Seven from Bella Bridesmaid Los Gatos, Bridesmaids Dresses:  And Something Blue, Hair Accessories:  Tessa Kim, Rentals:  Hartmann Studios, Stationary:  Hello Lucky.

Pick up the newest issue of Today’s Bride Magazine to see the shoot and other beautiful spreads.  Meanwhile, enjoy our feature here as well as see some more photos!

Cindy + Reid: Engaged!

Happy Monday!  I have a great engagement session to share with all of you of our fun and spunky June clients.  Meet Cindy and Reid, they went to the same college, had all the same friends, heard of each other but never met one another until they were personally introduced many years later.  These two are so much fun and after hanging out with them for five minutes, you immediately know that they really were made for one another.  Enjoy their fun engagement session, they brought the love of their lives with them – their dogs…and they are so cute!  Special thanks to Rock the image for sharing these photos with us.

A Fall Wedding at Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa

Happy Thursday lovelies!  There are SO many exciting things going on at our planning and design headquarters and I can’t wait to share all of it with you!  Get ready for some amazing prettiness on the blog during this month of love!  But first, I want to share with you all one of my favorite weddings from last year.  Amy and Alan were married at the beautiful Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa this past October and it is the perfect  venue for a Fall Wedding as the leaves are falling and changing colors.  They were engaged in France so they really wanted the Provence region of France to be the focal theme in sharing their love story on their wedding day.  We really had so much fun with this wedding because Amy and Alan really trusted us with the vision and creativity that we had formulated for them and “TRUST” makes all the difference!  Enjoy this tour de Provence of a wedding.  Amy and Alan, I loved how your love story began in Cabo and how it blossomed into something so sweet.  Your wedding day was so full of love and at one point when I looked around, the whole room was in tears.  You are surrounded by people who love you and  thank you for allowing me to be a part of something so special!  Special thanks to Erica Chan for sharing these photos with us!

This wedding is so beautifully classic and vineyard inspired with so many original and special touches.  From the bottom of my heart, enjoy!

I kinda really LOVE this photo of the guys.

This is my favorite photo of the two of them.  So classic…so beautiful!

During cocktail hour, guests were invited to take a tour de France in the region of Provence.  We custom designed a map of the highlights of Provence that signified Amy and Alan’s love for one another.  There was also a lavender filling station for guests to interact and participate in which was a huge hit!  Not only was it fun, they were able to take a little bit of Provence home with them…literally!

We created custom tags based off of old maps of each area that they chose and created escort tags for each guest.  These were nailed to giant planks of wood to really give the feeling of an “old world” Parisian effect.  Table Cards were also individually nailed to wooden boards and the story of the significance of each place was written for guests to read.  I really loved this idea that we created for them, it was so fun!

This wedding was so insanely beautiful, thank you again to Amy and Alan for giving us the honor of being part of it!
