For the Sign in Table, Ivane made her own quilt that was accented with flowers made out of ribbon, isn’t it adorable?

Guests were encouraged to sign “The Book of Travel” in lieu of a traditional guestbook, I loved this.

Ivane and Alex were married at the glorious Room of the Dons in front of family and friends.  It was gorgeous!

How gorgeous is this Ceremony Room?  Our friends from Poppy’s Petalworks did an amazing job with the floral design and the Chuppah was radiantly luminated.

Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres were held at the Lobby Terrace and just look at this Welcome Table “Wow Factor” by Poppy’s Petalworks!  This absolutely stole the night!

Favors were placed around the Floral “Wow Factor”.

The Dinner Reception was held in the grand Peacock Court and it was absolutely perfect with the blue lighting.

Blue Tissue Flowers were wrapped around each guest’s napkins.  All of the tissued flowers were made by the Bride herself!

Ivane and Alex’s reception featured two different table designs, both had the tall vases with floating red orchids in them and half of them had the luscious red pomander balls sitting atop the vases.  This is love.

The Bride and Groom sat at their own sweetheart table in front of their guests.  I loved the floral design behind their table, it gave the whole design a European flair!

Ivane and Alex are a couple that LOVE to dance.  Not only did they dance into the reception, they couldn’t stop dancing the whole night!  Below is just a peak of their First Dance.

Ivane and Alex had a giant cupcake as their cake.  Isn’t it so cute?

Guests were offered a Dessert Bar that included individually packed treats of macaroons, chocolates and cakes.  Cupcakes of the couple’s first initials were also served at the Dessert Bar.

Ivane also had a photobooth for their guests to take pictures in.  They brought these fun props below and I can tell you that the photobooth was a definite hit.  There was not a time where the photobooth didn’t have a line.

The BIGGEST congratulations to Ivane and Alex, it was so much fun being your planner,  I absolutely loved your enthusiasm of love for each other!

Our first stop was Noe Valley Bakery in the Noe Valley District.  What we loved about Noe Valley Bakery was that their cupcakes were all perfectly formed and the flavors were delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet…delicious!

This is Noe Valley’s Chocolate “Mostess” Cupcake, inspired by the Hostess Cakes!

The “Mostess” Cupcake even had the creme filling just like the ding dongs!

Our next stop was at the infamous That Takes the Cake Bakery and let me tell you, the trip was such a treat!  They had the most flavors that I’ve ever seen displayed in their cake case and we were informed by the owner that the cupcake flavors change twice a week.  Cupcake flavor submissions are welcome so put those cupcake dreams on paper!  Cupcakes by That Takes the Cake were absolutely heavenly as the cakes were so moist and the flavors ever so unique.

Our next stop was American Cupcake, an absolute modern-retro cupcake dream!  Starting the business as a cupcake caterer, the owner received such success and high demands that she decided to open a storefront shop.  The shop is decorated in retro motifs, including a pristine white counter high-top and bar stools, a photo booth and the most amazing light fixtures ever!  They also feature candy jars behind all their Kitchen-Aid mixers and guests are welcome to watch them decorate the cupcakes if you get a seat on the bar.  This store just opened a week ago so stop by and show them some love!

Cups and Cakes Bakery, situated in the Financial District, was our final stop.  Walking in, you know that this bakery was hip with its hot pink, electric blue and black paint colors and its open kitchen.  Their cupcakes are special as they are literally baked in cups and the flavors were eccentric and unique as well.

Their open kitchen was so interesting to see as you can see them literally at work.  When we visited, they were busy icing some cookies n’ creme cupcakes.

We decided to make one last stop at Icing on the Cake in Los Gatos and we were so glad we did!  This shop is bursting with personality, making it feel like a mom n’ pop shop.  Delectable desserts were on display everywhere and the shop was decorated with all baking supplies and entertaining tools.  The endless crowd of customers is a sure sign that this cake shop is doing something right!

We had such a wonderful time visiting with all these bakeries and everyone from each bakery was so personable and friendly.  The trip was such a treat…literally!  Like what you see?  Go visit these bakeries and get one of these sweet treats today!

Noe Valley Bakery had one of the most delicious red velvet cupcakes that I have ever had, and I’ve had many red velvet cupcakes!  What I loved most about their cupcakes was the attention to detail that they incorporated in their cupcakes.  If you look closely, the red velvet cupcake is the last cupcake featured in the image below, and it had the most decadent jeweled candies that topped it.  It was absolutely delicious!

Citizen Cake is probably made famous from their Food Network Presence as well as for their reputation of cakes that taste as amazing as they look.  I tried a sample of their carrot cake and it was divine, especially with the ribbon of caramel that draped it!  Watch out though, Citizen Cakes are known for their generous serving portions, thank goodness today was only a tasting!

Sugar Beat Sweets is an all-women business selling 100% dairy and egg free cupcakes that are vegan friendly!  What I like most about them is that their cupcakes have attitude in presentation and taste.  I had their peanut butter cup cupcake and I was in love, to say that I had to refrain myself from eating a second one is definitely an understatement!

Cups and Cakes Bakery is probably one of the newer kids on the block, but they have definately earned their place in the cupcake world of San Francisco.  This is another bakery that packs huge personality into their cupcakes and one of the things I love most is that the cupcakes are actually served in paper cups!  Their store is opening this week on November 6, be sure to check them out and show a little love.

Doros Sweetiecups is uber creative in their cupcake flavors!  They have amazing cupcake flavor combinations that are truly artisan such as the peach paradise and mojito.  I tried the schnucki cup which was a strawberry cake with white, strawberry frosting and real strawberries..I was in cupcake heaven!  They also had cupcakes prepared in favor boxes to show potential brides and grooms of the possiblity of having a sweet favor.

That Takes the Cake is another well known cupcakery in SF with a slogan of having ingredients of love, kisses and hugs and they sure do taste like them!  They too have unique flavors and the creamiest cupcakes you will ever taste.  Delicious!
