A Jane Austen Love Story

One of my new favorite photographers is the lovely Kate Harrison for the simple reason that she takes the most beautiful images and creates the perfect, love storyboard for the couple that she’s photographing. This recent wedding that she captured of Anita and Phil at the Saratoga Foothill Club is exceptionally stunning as her photographs tell the story of the couple’s love for vintage, their favorite books and classic films. I believe that you will be as blown away as I was at how lovely this wedding was, especially with the vintage notes of old-fashioned classics.

The bride is so lovely here, the antique mirror that was purchased for their wedding is also a new addition to their home.

Love the raspberries in the bride’s bouquet and groom’s boutonniere!

This portrait of the bridal party is framed beautifully.

Love the mantle, it’s so rustic and so Jane Austen!

This is the photo that made me swoon, I loved the Jane Austen presence in their wedding! The bride and groom had their wedding favors in paper bags made out of excerpts of Pride and Prejudice. Their favorite novels were bound beautifully and served as their centerpieces.

Their guests were encouraged to take photos of themselves with the vintage cameras that the couple provided.

This is pure romance! This photo truly captures the essence of vintage, classic love that the couple cherished so much.

Fall in Love with Couture Hair Pieces

It’s Bridal Fashion Week and we are continuing on our week long salute and celebration to fashion and all the wonderful accessories that it entails. There is a huge trend in Fashion of bringing styles from the 30′s and 40′s back to the forefront and its no different with Bridal Fashion. One of the best accessories to pay tribute to the 30′s and 40′s is a chic and couture hair piece or veil, and no one does it better than Leah C. Couture Millinery. I am a huge fan of her work because she has the ability to bring splashes of color to all her pieces and her designs really push the limits of a couture hair piece. I think that once you see her work below, you will be in love!

Fresh off the runway, Jenny Packham and Jenny Lee both included fabulous luxe hair adornments on their runways for Fall 2010.

Off to the Big Apple!

I am so excited to be going to the Big Apple today. I am blessed to have a sister who lives out there which gives me countless opportunities to visit one of the best cities of the world. I am particularly excited because I have lots of exciting meetings and places to go to for a full week of New York wedding inspiration for all of you! Next week, I will be blogging from NYC, bringing you inspiration and what’s currently hot in weddings from the Big Apple, starting with an interview with Adorn Brides. Excited? Me too! Get ready for a week of NY wedding bliss! To get you in the mood (and myself) here are some engagement photos by Jen Huang of a couple who had a City Hall wedding before their actual ceremony in Lambertville, these photos are quintessentially the charm that NYC brings to romance in the city.

According to Jen, it was pouring the day of the shoot, but spirits can’t be dampened with such a fabulous rainbow umbrella! The couple was radiant and the rain, in my opinion, turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
