Real Weddings :: Fall Blooms

Fall is here and it’s time to switch gears and get excited about Fall Weddings! I love weddings in Fall because the color palette is so rich and vibrant as you can see in this week’s Real Weddings, featuring Amy + Jay who got married in the Sierra Nevada Tahoe Region. The natural beauty of the mountains and trees was so majestic and it really made the colors of the flowers, designed by the incredible Nancy Liu Chin, pop. The photography by Annie X is truly amazing as well, she is my new addiction when it comes to wedding photographers.

The best thing to do for Fall Weddings is to take advantage of the natural beauty around you and build upon it with matching colors and outdoor themes, just like how this cute couple did. It’s the perfect time to use hot colors like reds, oranges and yellows to balance out nature’s natural colors, so be bold with your color selections for Fall!

There’s something sweet about getting married in the great outdoors, don’t ya think?

This luscious Bouquet is absolutely amazing! The rich orange and yellow hues mixed with light sage and greens is a winner for me!

Again, Nancy Liu Chin is a floral genious! These hanging bouquets are just so gorgeous and golden, they look royally sun-kissed!

The couple had Wedding Programs with their favorite means of transportation on them (bicycles and motorcycles…how green!) sitting atop a mound of citrus fruits. Love the connection between the colors of the citrus fruits and floral bouquets, it’s exquisite!

Guests welcomed the newly married couple from the Sun Deck. Little bunches of sage green florals were tied to each guests’ chair at the reception. It’s so simple and chic!

Haven’t you just fallen in love with the colors, flowers and design of this wedding? It’s so refreshing and the color palette combined with the natural elements just makes me smile. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Summer August Wedding

I am currently planning a summer wedding for Jennifer and Stephen at the Saratoga Country Club in August. They are a very fun, young couple who are avid tennis fans who have a knack for dancing; I believe their summer wedding in the Country club is very befitting! Because their wedding is outdoors during the warmest time of year, I have decided to make their Wedding Programs serve a dual purpose as a fan! There is nothing worse than having guests unable to enjoy the ceremony due to the weather, so here is our answer to making sure that they are comfortable!

Crystal & Micah’s Vineyard Wedding

When my long time friend Crystal told me that she was engaged and later asked me to be her wedding planner, I was ecstatic! Crystal and Micah were such a great couple to work with because their style was so laid back and that certainly carried over to their wedding of simple chic. The backdrop to their Wedding & Cocktail Reception was the Byington Vineyards in Los Gatos, CA, followed by their Banquet at Golden Island Restaurant in Milpitas. LA Based Photographers Chris and Justin of Lin and Jirsa Photography (who won the LA Best Wedding Photography of 2009) did a wonderful job of capturing Crystal and Micah’s special day. Enjoy!
