I am so excited to share with you all today one of my favorite weddings for 2010 that took place at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, CA! Amy and Jeff are the cutest couple who were high school sweet hearts and more than 10 years later, they finally decided to tie the knot and we were so honored to be their planner and designer for such a momentous day. The theme for their wedding was modern elegance with lots of crystals, glass and butterflies. With a color palette of purple and pink, we were able to create something that we personally loved that the couple and guests enjoyed as well! Amy and Jeff, thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure to be a part of your special day, we cherished the planning process with the both of you and more importantly, dearly cherish the friendship that we now have! Your wedding was more beautiful than words!

Geometrics are IN!

I love the look of geometrics in a wedding, it adds an element of modern beauty into the day and it’s not hard to do. Many people might shy away from it, fearing that the look would be too bold, but here are my tips of using this great trend as part of your wedding design without having it be over-powering. You’ll see that it’s quite lovely!

Invitations are the first thing that your guests will see, it’s their first opportunity of getting a glimpse of what your wedding day will be like and the style that they will see. Love using geometrics as an accessory to the invitation suite by using it as an envelope liner and band.

Finding a venue that already has geometric architecture is definitely a plus for any wedding! It makes for beautiful photos!

It’s all in the details! Find geometrics to use for your photos, it doesn’t have to be part of your decor, but accents that you find from where you are getting ready makes for great “getting ready” accessory photos. Also use as a subtle accent for other areas such as your escort card display!

Spring into Color and Creativity for your Wedding Details!

The sun is out and the shades are on; what can I say except, “Spring is here”! With the warmth of the sun, spirits flying high and the feeling of being sun-kissed everyday, you can’t help but bring some of the sunshine and love into your wedding! Here are some wonderful and creative ideas for fun loving spring and summer weddings by Martha Stewart. I absolutely love all of these ideas because they are not only so cute to look at, but these are details that your guests will absolutely love and squeal at.

Ah! If I were welcomed to any wedding or event with shortbread and cake on a stick and lemonade on a hot summer day, I would absolutely die with glee! I love these! They are the perfect accent to a fun, whimsical summer/spring wedding.

How fun are these programs! They have little confetti pockets on the front to shower the new Mr. and Mrs. with…LOVE! Also love the pinks and cremes of the table scape next to it with it’s garden-like graphics and loose petals in the middle of the table.

This guestbook is also high on my charts, I always love fun alternatives to the traditional guestbook and this one featured with mini envelopes for guests to leave notes in is amazing. Cupcakes in a jar are all the rage right now, I am giddy just thinking about it so imagine how your guests will feel to actually receive one of these delectable treats!

Just because the sun is shining and spring is in the air, I thought that I might share some of my favorite finds of the moment from Rue Magazine. I absolutely love the colors and the mix of modern vintage in the inspiration board below.

I couldn’t be happier that the sun is out and that wedding season is officially in full swing!
